Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis of Foot

The flexor digiti minimi brevis is a small foot muscle in the third plantar layer. It originates from the base of the fifth metatarsal and inserts into the proximal phalanx of the small toe. It is innervated by the lateral plantar nerve and supplied by the lateral plantar artery. Its primary action is to flex the small toe.

Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis of foot is a small muscle that lies in the third plantar muscle layer of the foot. It originates from the base of the fifth metatarsal.

The third plantar muscle layer of the foot consists of: Flexor Hallucis Brevis, Oblique and Transverse Head of Adductor Hallucis and Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis.
