By choosing a six-year study program at UMCH, your tuition fees will be €25,000 for the first and second years, and €28,000 for years 3-6. The university gives you a second option.

You can study in Germany for the first two years at a cost of €25,000 per year and complete years 3-6 in Romania at a cost of €6,000 per year.

Curriculum and Content of Medical Studies in English at Târgu Mureș University

First Year of Study

The first year of study serves as an introduction to the fundamentals of medicine. In the first year of the course, students learn the basics of the human body. Subjects such as anatomy, physiology, molecular and cellular biology, and biochemistry are prioritized here. Students must learn early on to apply their knowledge from preclinical subjects in the context of clinical issues.

Second Year of Study

In the second year of study, students deal with genetics and histology, among other subjects, but they also tackle topics like first aid and doctor-patient communication.

Third Year of Study

The following year focuses on pharmacology, medical and surgical biology, pathology, bacteriology, immunology, and scientific research methods.

Fourth Year of Study

Internal medicine and emergencies, endocrinology, urology, orthopedics and fractures, general surgery, and pediatric surgery are the core subjects of the fourth year of study.

Fifth Year of Study

The range of courses in the fifth year of study includes, for example, pediatrics, ophthalmology, pulmonology, neurology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, oncology, and rheumatology.
